The Christian County Lady Colonels played their third game at the First Bank Holiday Bash against Barren County, who was undefeated entering the contest. They were able to stay that way, as the Trojanettes got the best of the Lady Colonels 67-54.

Christian County was able to score 14 points in the first quarter behind 10 points from Anaysia Bagwell. But that was not enough to keep up with Barren County, because their offense was able to explode for 24 in the period.

The scoring in the second for the Lady Colonels was fairly spread out with five players getting on the board. And while the Trojanettes were not able to catch fire like they did in the first, it was enough for them to take a 39-26 lead at the halftime break.

The third quarter was the only time the Lady Colonels were able to outscore Barren County, doing so 12-10. Five players once again graced the scoring column, with the leader in the period being Bagwell with four.

Christian County had their best quarter of the game in the fourth, scoring 16 points behind five from Genesis McGee. But it was not enough to dig out of the hole they were in, and they fell to the Trojanettes 67-54.

This was the third time the two teams have faced off, and Barren County now leads the all-time series 2-1. The only win the Lady Colonels have gotten over the Trojanettes was in January of 2018.

Bagwell led the way for Christian County with 20 points, and she did so with six rebounds. Carliah and Carlie Hobson were both also able to score in double-digits with 11 and 10 points, respectively.

The Lady Colonels will play their next game on Monday against the host team of South Warren. The game will be their final one at the First Bank Holiday Bash, and will be played at 10 a.m.
