
Crittenden County’s girls got their quest for a fourth-straight 2nd Region All A Classic championship off to a good start Monday night.
The Lady Rockets (11-3) blitzed Dawson Springs 64-13 in first-round action at Panther Gym in Dawson.
That sets up a semifinal showdown with Lyon County Thursday night in Dawson Springs.
The Lady Lyons (11-3) also rolled in opening-round action, claiming an 80-18 victory at Fort Campbell on Monday.
Anna Boone had 17 points for the Lady Rockets in the win over Dawson while Andrea Federico added 10.
Crittenden leapt out to a 22-2 lead after one quarter and held a 37-10 advantage at halftime against the Lady Panthers.
Thursday’s semifinals will open at 6:00 with Caldwell County facing Livingston Central. Crittenden and Lyon will square off at 7:30.
The championship game is set for Saturday afternoon at 4:00 in Dawson Springs.
