A strong first-half defensive performance turned out to be the difference for the Community Christian Lady Warriors Tuesday night. CCA held the Heritage Christian Academy Lady Warriors to just six points in the first half on the way to a 31-24 win in Paducah.

The win was the second in three weeks over Heritage Christian for CCA.

Eden Riley, an 8th grader, led CCA with 12 points and Kalyssa Sullivan, a freshman.

Heritage Christian got 12 points from Ava DeJager. Sophie Arvin finished the night with 5 points, while Allie Craft added four.

Cool shooting was a problem for HCA as the Lady Warriors hit just 10 of 55 from the field for the game.

Heritage Christian (0-6) is back on the road Thursday against Christian Fellowship.
