Caldwell Turns Back Livingston for Berth in All A Championship

Caldwell County’s girls have not played in the All A Classic state tournament since winning back-to-back regional crowns in 2009 and 2010.

The Lady Tigers will play for a spot in the 2026 state tournament on Saturday after dismissing Livingston Central 53-43 Thursday night in semifinal round action at Dawson Springs.

Tink Clark had 10 of her game-high 19 points in the fourth quarter to help Caldwell pull away for the double-digit win.

Livingston (3-7) led by as much as eight points in the first half before the Lady Tigers battled back to tie things 24-24 at halftime.

The game remained close through the third period before Caldwell edged ahead 43-38 entering the final frame.

Laylay Shearer added 14 points for Caldwell.

Meanwhile, Brooklyn Collins led Livingston with 12 points while Taylor Leahy had 11.

Caldwell has won its last two meetings with Livingston. The Lady Tigers lead the Lady Cardinals 76-26 in the all-time series.

Next up for Caldwell is Lyon County in Saturday’s 2 p.m. championship game in Dawson Springs.

The Lady Lyons (12-3) edged Crittenden County 54-51 in Thursday’s other semifinal contest.

The Lady Lyons have taken their last seven meetings with Caldwell and nine of the last 10. The Lady Tigers lead all-time 89-35.
