Caldwell County could not have gotten off to a much better start at Union County Friday night.
Four minutes into the game, the Tigers held a 12-2 advantage and the Braves needed a timeout.
However, Union heated up while Caldwell cooled down.
The Braves rallied in front 22-21 midway through the second quarter, led 33-25 at halftime, then pulled away in the second half for a 70-47 victory.
Pax Aikins had 19 points for Caldwell to lead all scorers, but the Tigers struggled at the offensive end for most of the night.

Caldwell was just 2 of 25 from 3-point range.
Ari Wells added 10 points for the Tigers.
Union (10-5) got balanced scoring, led by Gavyn Black’s 17 points. Daishawn Curry added 14 and Cale Johnson had 11.
The Braves also beat Caldwell two weeks ago in the Ballard Memorial Christmas Tournament.
Union plays at home again on Tuesday against Livingston Central.
