The Christian County Colonels went into their matchup with Henderson County on the road looking for their second win in a row. But they were unable to do that, as Henderson’s defense proved to be too much, and Christian County fell 71-26.

Christian County got itself into trouble in the first two quarters, as it scored just four in the first and five in the second. On the other side, Henderson was able to get to the rim at will and score 14 in the opening quarter, and 19 before halftime.

After a very disappointing opening two quarters, Christian County was able to get 11 in the third, and they were led by Rahsean Stevenson. He was able to score eight, and Darren Bigbee also made a three-pointer to make 11 in the period.

But that was not enough to keep up with Henderson, who once again scored 19 points, and they did so with three made shots from beyond the arc.

After that, all it took was another 19 points from Henderson in the fourth quarter to finish off Christian County and get the win 71-26.

This is now the fifth time in a row that Henderson has gotten the better of Christian County, with the last time the outcome was different being back in December of 2019.

The only member of Christian County who was able to score in double-digits was Stevenson with 14, and he did so by getting his points in the paint.

Christian County will be looking to bounce back in its next game on Thursday, January 15, against Lyon County. Their game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. at Christian County High School.
