
Hopkinsville’s girls came in first in a three-team swim meet against Christian County and Fort Campbell at Hopkinsville High School on Tuesday evening.
And Fort Campbell was able to come away with the victory on the boys’ side of the meet.
The Lady Tigers finished with 132 points, Fort Campbell came in second with 93, and Christian County came up with 49.
As for the boys, Fort Campbell took first with 95 points, the Tigers got second with 79, and the Colonels finished the meet with 73.
The Lady Tigers’ team of Brilyn Merricky, Lily Johnston, Grace Cansler, and Saralynn Major took first in the girls’ 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:15.61.
Fort Campbell took first in the boys’ 200-yard medley relay with a time of 2:08.53 with their group of Harrison Ling, Andrew McWherter, Branson Bussy, and Joshua DiGiovanni.
The girls’ 200-yard free went to Hopkinsville’s Saralynn Major with a time of 2:23.82.
The boys’ 200-yard free went to Fort Campbell’s Harrison Ling with a time of 2:17.73.
Hopkinsville’s Lily Johnston won the girls’ 200-yard IM with a time of 2:43.46.
Fort Campbell’s Ava Roberts took home first place in the girls’ 50-yard free with a final time of 28.63.
Hopkinsville’s Levi Johnston won the boys version of the same event with a time of 25.94.
The girls’ 100-yard free went to Hopkinsville’s Saralynn Major with a time of 1:07.09.
And the boys’ 100-yard free was also won by Hopkinsville, with Levi Johnston finishing with a time of 56.33.
The girls’ 200-yard free relay went to Hopkinsville’s team of Saralynn Major, Lily Johnston, Kaley Bangart, and Grace Cansler with a final time of 2:04.52.
The boys’ 200-yard free relay was won by Fort Campbell’s group of Harrison Ling, Andrew McWherter, Joshua DiGiovanni, and Branson Bussy with a time of 1:55.49.
Both of the 100-yard back events went to Fort Campbell, with Ava Roberts winning the girls with a time of 1:18.48, and Harrison Ling winning the boys with a 1:16.36.
Hopkinsville’s Grace Cansler won the girls 100-yard breast with a final time of 1:19.41.
Fort Campbell’s Branson Bussy won the boys 100-yard breast with a time of 1:16.57.
Fort Campbell was able to win the girls 400-yard free relay with their team of Ava and Abby Roberts, Julieann Johnson, and Elle Eslinger, who finished with a 4:59.55.
And Fort Campbell also finished first in the boys 400-yard free relay.
