The Dawson Springs Panthers entered Thursday night’s game against Webster County having won three of their last four games. The Trojans came in having lost two of their last three and looking to start a winning streak after a win earlier in the week against Fort Campbell.
This one was all Webster County as the Trojans rolled to an 89-55 win. The win extends the Webster County winning streak in the series to 25 games. The last Dawson Springs win in the series came all the way back in December 1998.
Webster County got 27 points from Caleb Bumpus, one of four Trojans in double figures. Aiden Alstadt added 13 points. Kahner Phelps scored 11 points, while Reid McDyer finished with 10 points.
Jaydon Plunkette led the Panthers with 17 points. Noah Riley ended his night with 13 and Easton Bourland had 10 points.
Dawson Springs (4-10) goes on the road Tuesday for a district contest at Caldwell County.
