Basketball player James Tandy was inducted into the Hopkinsville High School Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday.
Tandy was only the third Hoptown Tiger to pass 1,000 career points in 1981, averaging 23 points and seven rebounds his senior season. He went on to play for legendary coach Abe Lemons at Texas.
James’ niece accepted the honor on behalf of James, who was unable to make the ceremony.
