
Football player Rusty Nunn was inducted into the Hopkinsville High School Athletic Hall of Fame on Friday.
Nunn was the quarterback on Hopkinsville’s 7-3 team in 1963 and was also All-District in basketball. He played golf for five years at HHS, reaching the state tournament once.
Nunn was a starter on defense at Memphis State, where he also received a partial golf scholarship. He was captain of the freshman team and team captain his senior year, as well as earning All Conference his junior year, and All Conference Academic Team twice.
Dr. Nunn provided free dental care to student athletes in Hopkinsville for many years.
