
Hopkins County Central blew open the game early, putting up 32 first-quarter points on the way to a 74-25 victory over Hopkinsville in girls’ basketball action Friday night in Mortons Gap.
Calajia Mason scored 15 of her 17 points in the opening stanza and Addie Menser had nine of her 17 in the first 8 minutes as the Lady Storm pressed its way to a 32-8 lead entering the second period.
A 35-footer at the halftime horn by Bri Dulin sent Hopkins Central to the break with a 46-20 advantage.
Tyah White scored 12 of her 16 points in the first half. Dulin finished the night with 12 points.

Hopkinsville (1-10) managed just one field goal and five points total in the second half.
The Lady Storm hit the 35-point mercy rule for a running clock at 55-20 early in the third quarter.
It was 67-22 entering the final frame.
Hopkins Central has won four of its last five outings and is now 11-6.
Hopkinsville has dropped seven straight.
Serenity Ewing led the Lady Tigers with 13 points.

The Lady Storm will travel to Madisonville-North Hopkins on Tuesday for a key 7th District matchup.
Hoptown will host Russellville Saturday afternoon.
