The Fort Campbell Lady Falcons faced off with Fort Knox at home on Saturday at noon, and they were able to get back-to-back wins with a 50-37 victory over the Lady Eagles.

Both teams started the game out fairly slow, as the first quarter had only 13 combined points. Molly Harper, A’mari Grimsley, and Cyri Reed were able to get on the board, but that did not stop Fort Knox from going up 7-6 after the first eight minutes.

The second quarter is where the Lady Falcons were really able to come to life, as they went on a 14-0 run, which was capped off by a Saniyah Bell three-pointer. Fort Knox was able to force a decent amount of turnovers, but Fort Campbell went into half with a 22-14 lead.

In the first four minutes of the third, the Lady Falcons were able to outscore the Lady Eagles 10-3, and that helped them extend their lead to 20 at a timeout with two minutes left. Going into the fourth and final quarter, Fort Campbell was in full control with a 46-19 lead.

The fourth was much slower, with the Lady Falcons only scoring four. This allowed Fort Knox to cut the lead to 13, but the Lady Falcons closed it out and won their second straight game.

This is now back-to-back years that the Lady Falcons have gotten the best of Fort Knox, with the Lady Eagles’ last win in the series back in February of 2023.

Grimsley led the way for Fort Campbell in scoring with 26 points, and he did so by getting to the rim with consistency, as well as getting to the charity stripe.

The Lady Falcons will be looking to extend their win streak to three games in their next one on Thursday, January 22, against the Lady Wildcats of Trigg County. Their game is scheduled to tip off at 7:30 p.m. at Trigg County High School.
