With the Hopkinsville volleyball program now in the history books, former coach Lakyn Peek has found herself a new gig, right back in the 8th District. Officials with University Heights Academy announced Tuesday afternoon that Peek would be joining the Lady Blazers staff for the 2026 season.
Peek was named head coach at Hopkinsville in April 2022 and spent four years at the helm of the Lady Tiger program.
She is a 2011graduate of Caldwell County High School, where she was a member of the 2010 2nd Region and All A state championship team. She had 105 kills and 25 total blocks as a senior before moving on to play at Brescia University.
University Heights Athletics Director Taylor Sparks told YourSportsEdge.Com that would serve in the area of skills and development for the Lady Blazer volleyball program.
