
Henderson County’s girls swim team finished in 12th place at the Best of the West meet, hosted by Bowling Green High School, on Jan. 10.
The Lady Colonels had 65 points to finish nine points behind 11th place Allen County-Scottsville and one point ahead of 13th place Franklin-Simpson.
Lyana Coots finished 12th in the 100-yard butterfly in 1:21.21 and was 12th in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:15.34.
Avery Thomson finished 15th in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:27.84 and was 19th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:08.80.
Riley Smith was 15th in the 500-yard freestyle in 7:34.53 and was 30th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:42.09.
Sariah Coots was 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke in 1:24.94 and was 16th in the 200-yard IM in 2:52.84.
Piper Thompson finished 23rd in the 50-yard freestyle in 31.02 seconds.
Aubrie Woolfork finished 34th in the 200-yard freestyle in 2:51.02 and 34th in the 100-yard backstroke in 1:35.12.
Irah Plummer was 50th in the 100-yard freestyle in 1:26.78 and finished 54th in the 50-yard freestyle in 38.81 seconds.
Henderson County was seventh in the 200-yard free relay in 2:00.70, seventh in the 400-yard free relay in 4:40.08, with the 200-yard medley relay team finishing in 19th place with a time of 2:42.06.
