
Tyreek Anthony had a big fourth quarter on the way to a 20-point night, and the Fort Campbell Falcons held hosts Crittenden County to single digits in two frames on the way to a 76-53 victory on Friday.
Brayden Poindexter poured in 11 points in the opening quarter for the Rockets, but Kyre Ferguson and Garrett Vanetta combined for 10 to help the Falcons to an early 17-14 advantage.
Joseph Katz erupted for 11 points in the second quarter, and the Falcons outscored the Rockets 16-9 to lead 33-23 at the halftime break.
Fort Campbell held Crittenden to only seven points in the third quarter to put the game away. Anthony scored six for the Falcons, and Ferguson and Corey Baker combined for eight to build a 22-point lead with a quarter to play.
Emmitt Ellington put up 10 fourth-quarter points and Roane Topp added nine for the Rockets, but Anthony scored 11 to help Fort Campbell improve to 7-13 ahead of a district matchup with Heritage Christian Academy on Tuesday.
Katz joined Anthony in double digits with 18 for the Falcons, followed by Ferguson with 15, and Vanetta with 11.
Topp’s 18 led the Rockets, Ellington scored 12, and Poindexter added 11.
Crittenden County struggled to a 10/23 performance at the free-throw line to slip to 2-23 with a trip to Caldwell County coming up on Monday.
