Madisonville North-Hopkins will have five entries, four for the Maroons and one for the Lady Maroons, headed off to the state swimming finals in Lexington. Official results from Saturday’s first round of the state swim meet in Bowling Green were posted Sunday.
Sy Soriano will swim individually in two events. He finished second in Bowling Green Saturday in the Boys 100 Yard Freestyle. Soriano will look to contend for a spot on the podium in Lexington, as he is seeded 4th for the state finals.
Soriano also qualified 17th in the Boys 200 Yard Freestyle.
The Maroons 200 Yard Medley Relay team, of Sy Soriano, JD Brown, Gavin Bunch, and Jude Gamblin, finished 5th and qualified for the final and will be seeded 21st.
The 200 Yard Freestyle Relay team, with the same group of four, which finished fourth in Bowling Green, also makes it to the state finals and will be seeded 14th in the event.
For the Lady Maroons, Addison Howard qualified in the Girls 100 Yard Backstroke and will be seeded 24th.
