This week’s Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ for the week of February 2 is Hopkinsville High School’s Grace Cansler. Grace was selected based on her efforts in last Saturday’s first round of the state swim meet at Bowling Green High School.
She finished fourth in the Girls 100 Yard Breaststroke and just missed out on qualifying for an at-large berth in the state finals.
Her time of 1:14.12 was a personal best.
Grace will also go down as the final individual event swimmer in Hopkinsville High School swimming history with the upcoming merger of Hopkinsville High School and Christian County High School.
The Jersey Mike’s ‘Player of the Game’ is selected each week from one of the five schools in Christian County (Christian County, Hopkinsville, University Heights, Heritage Christian, and Fort Campbell) based on their performance in a big game or event for their team that week.
