
Logan County broke it open after halftime and never looked back, cruising past Hopkinsville 72-35 Tuesday night.
The Cougars controlled the pace early and pulled away for good in the second half behind a balanced scoring effort and a big finish from Brenley Adler. Adler scored a game-high 21 points, including 15 in the fourth quarter to put the game out of reach.
Reese Wetton added 18 points as the duo led an offense that saw 10 Cougars score.
Serenity Ewing paced the Tigers with 16 points, but Hopkinsville struggled to keep up and trailed 30-19 at halftime. Logan County took full command after the break, outscoring the Tigers 42-16 over the final two quarters to improve to 16-10 on the season.
Hopkinsville fell to 1-15 and will travel to Crittenden County on Saturday.
Logan County returns home to host Franklin-Simpson in a 13th District contest on Friday.
