
Going into their Tuesday evening matchup with Daviess County, the Madisonville-North Hopkins Lady Maroons had won their last game against Ohio County. But they were not able to start a win streak, as they lost to the Lady Panthers with a score of 62-41 on the road.
This was the fourth win in a row that Daviess County has been able to get over Madisonville-North Hopkins, and the last win the Lady Maroons got in the all-time series was back in February of 2022.
It was also the third win in a row for the Lady Panthers, who are now 20-4 and stand alone at the top of the 3rd Region.
As for Madisonville, they are now 10-11, and are fifth place in Region 2. They are even .500 in regional games at 4-4, and in district games at 3-3.
This was the second loss for the Lady Maroons in the last three games, so they will be looking to bounce back in their next game on Thursday, February 12.
They will face off with a team who only has four losses so far this season in the Marshall County Lady Marshals at 6 p.m. at Marshall County High School.
