Caldwell’s Girls Inch Closer to .500 With Win Over Union

After being unable to solve Union County for a decade. Caldwell County’s girls have now won back-to-back games against the Bravettes.

The Lady Tigers never trailed on Thursday while posting a 54-31 victory at the CAB gym.

Caldwell, now 10-11, scored the first six points of the night on the way to a 13-6 lead after one quarter.

The margin was 25-10 at halftime. Caldwell led 39-23 through three quarters.

The Lady Tigers got a balanced scoring effort in the win.

Med Thomas had 13 points, Ke’Darriah Thompson added 12 and Tink Clark added 10. Audrey McCoy had eight.

Soleia Beaven had 14 points to pace Union.

The Bravettes still lead the all-time series 34-23. Union had taken nine straight from the Lady Tigers before this season.

Caldwell has won three of its last four contests to get within one game of the .500 mark.

Caldwell’s girls will hit the road on Friday to play at Trigg County as part of a girls and boys doubleheader.

The Lady Tigers beat Trigg 61-44 Tuesday night in Princeton.
