
Foundation Christian and visiting Fort Campbell combined to put up 53 three-pointers in Friday’s contest, and despite 11 makes apiece, the Falcons couldn’t keep pace with FCA’s second-half surge in a 95-59 defeat.
Tyreek Anthony got off to a strong start with nine first-quarter points for Fort Campbell, but Maddox Wilson and Logan Nix combined for 16 to send FCA to an early 20-13 lead.
Foundation Christian extended the margin by a bucket behind 10 more points from Wilson to lead 36-27 at the halftime break. Anthony knocked down a pair of three-pointers to keep the Falcons within striking range and finish the half with 17 points.
However, it was all FCA in the second half, with Nix scoring 10 in the third and Mason Moore connecting on a pair of threes to chip in eight points. Foundation continued to pour it on in the fourth, knocking down six three-pointers to outscore the Falcons 33-13 in the frame.
Anthony connected on four attempts from behind the arc in the second half to finish with a team-high 29 points. Kyre Ferguson also reached double figures with 13, and Garrett Vanetta scored 11.
Nix had a huge night for FCA with 36 points, followed by Wilson with 26. Griff Lohden hit a trio of fourth-quarter three-pointers to finish with 11.
Fort Campbell slipped to 8-15 ahead of a trip to Hopkins County Central on Tuesday. FCA completed its regular-season schedule at 15-8.
