The Madison-North Hopkins Maroons dug an early hole they couldn’t climb out of Friday night, falling 63-23 on the road to the Marshall County Marshals, as the hosts set the tone from the opening tip.
Madison-North Hopkins (9-11) trailed 9-0 out of the gate as Marshall County (17-4) knocked down three quick 3-pointers, all from Kenzlee Terry. It was an uphill climb from there.
Terry buried six of the Marshals’ nine 3-pointers and finished with a game-high 30 points, including 21 in the first half. Nine different Marshall County players scored as the lead steadily grew.
Marshall County travels to Bowling Green on Saturday, while Madison-North Hopkins heads to Trinity High School on Tuesday.
