The Todd County Central Rebels had lost their last two games going into their Friday evening matchup with Russellville. But that streak continued for another game, as the Panthers beat Todd Central 73-48 on their home court.

The Rebels got off to a strong start in the first quarter behind a trio of three-pointers JJ Glass. This helped Todd County Central take the lead 11-9 after the first eight minutes.

But that lead was taken away from them in the second period. The Panthers outscored the Rebels 17-12, and that led to them taking the lead and going into the locker room at halftime up 24-23.

Russellville then had an absolutely huge quarter in the third with 27 points. Conner Holder had seven in the quarter for the Rebels, but it was not enough to prevent the team from going down 51-38 going into the final period.

After that, all it took was 22-point fourth quarter from the Panthers to close out the game to beat the Rebels and get their fourth win in a row.

The leading scorer in the game for Todd County Central was Glass with 16 points, nine of those being off of threes in the first quarter. Holder and JR Cardwell both also got into double-digits with 12 and 10, respectively.

They will be looking to help their team bounce back in their next game against the University Heights Blazers on Saturday, February 14. That game is scheduled to tip off at 7 p.m. at Todd County Central High School.
