The next-to-last week of the regular season for the Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons ended with a tough road loss at Muhlenberg County. The Mustangs galloped past the Maroons to take a 69-51 win Friday night.
The loss was the second straight loss for Madisonville, while Muhlenberg County won for the 4th time in the last five games.
Madisonville drops to 4-20 with the loss.
The Maroons will wrap up the regular season with a pair of road trips next week. Madisonville hits the road to Butler County on Monday and then will head to the Owensboro Sportscenter on Tuesday to face Owensboro Catholic.
The postseason will begin on Tuesday, February 24 when the Maroons take on Caldwell County in the 7th District semifinals at Hopkins County Central.
