Dawson Springs turned a slow start into a shooting clinic, erupting in the second and third quarters to cruise past Crittenden County 83-46.

The Rockets grabbed an early two-point lead after the first quarter, but the Panthers caught fire in the second, knocking down seven 3-pointers to take a 41-23 lead into halftime.

Dawson Springs was led by Jaydon Plunkette, who scored a game-high 31 points, along with 24 from Cooper Burge.

Plunkette buried seven 3-pointers for the game and scored 11 points in the third quarter as the Panthers stretched the lead. Burge added nine points in the period, going 6-for-7 from the free-throw line.

Brayden Poindexter led the Rockets with 12 points, and nine Crittenden County players scored.

The barrage from beyond the arc proved too much to overcome. The Panthers finished with 13 3-pointers, while the Rockets made just three.
