The head coaches for fall sports at the new Christian County High School are now in place. During a news conference Thursday afternoon, school officials official introduced the girls’ soccer, girls; golf, and boys’ golf head coaches.

To lead girls soccer, they did not have to look far as two-time Hopkinsville girls soccer coach Jeff Addison was named the first coach to lead the Christian County Lady Tiger soccer program. A 1993 graduate of Hopkinsville High School, Coach Addison continued his soccer career at Brescia University before returning home in 1995 to serve as an assistant coach for the Lady Tigers.

He became head coach in 2003, leading the program from 2003–2020 and again from 2022–2025. During his tenure, Coach Addison guided the Lady Tigers to 268 wins, 13 district championships, and 3 regional titles, building one of the region’s most respected girls’ soccer programs.

To lead the boys’ golf program, Christian County has turned to local golf pro, Jacob Fox. Fox has currently leads an indoor golf program designed to simplify and gamify the sport while maintaining a goal-oriented approach to athletic development and learning. He is a PGA Associate and Youth Development Instructor. In addition to his role as an Operation 36 Lead Coach, he serves as Assistant Golf Professional at Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club.

For a girls’ golf coach, Christian County has turned to another familiar sight on the high school coaching scene in the area, Doug Hargrove. Hargrove is a coaching veteran with over 19 years of experience in Christian and Trigg counties. He is a familiar face in regional athletics, currently leading the Hopkinsville Tiger Tennis program after having spent 12 years building the HHS volleyball program alongside his wife, Mindy.

He has also coached volleyball and golf in Trigg County. Doug is a 1982 alumni of Trigg County High School and holds a Bachelor of Science in Recreation from Murray State University. He is retired from the Kentucky Parks system and currently services as Community Liaison for Western State Hospital.
