
It was a big night in more ways than one for Madisonville-North Hopkins junior Lake Sumner.
Sumner had 29 points Tuesday night as his Maroons avenged a pair of regular-season losses by beating Caldwell County 74-48 in the semifinals of the 7th District tournament.
Madisonville will take on Hopkins County Central Friday night for the district championship.
Sumner also hit a milestone in the victory over Caldwell. He scored his 1,000th point during the contest.
