Hopkins County Central pulled ahead in the second quarter and went on to defeat Madisonville-North Hopkins 82-40 Friday night in the championship game of the 7th District tournament.
The Storm victory ended the Maroons’ 16-year reign as district champion.
Both teams will play in the 2nd Region tournament next week in Madisonville.
