Channing Puckett Inks With Campbellsville (w/PHOTOS)

Signing with Campbellsville is becoming a family tradition.

Caldwell County senior Channing Puckett signed on the dotted line Sunday afternoon to play college baseball at Campbellsville University.

He joins a lengthy list of Caldwell players who have signed with the Campbellsville Tigers. That group includes his father, Bubbie Puckett.

Campbellsville is a member of the Mid-South Conference and competes in the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics and the National Christian College Athletic Association.

A joint signing ceremony was held Sunday in the CCHS cafeteria. Puckett’s teammate, Ethan Ramage, signed to play baseball at Midway University.

The signings drew a large turnout of teammates, family and friends.

Puckett was 5-3 on the mound for Caldwell last season with a team-best 2.05 earned run average. He struck out 51 in 41 innings to help the Tigers go 19-9.

An infielder when not pitching, Puckett hit .280 last season and drove in 13 runs.

Two years ago, Puckett was 5-1 with a save and a 1.27 ERA.

He hit .267 with 14 runs batted in to help the Tigers finish 27-7 in 2024.

Puckett signed with Campbellsville as a pitcher.

He figures to be part of a strong pitching staff again this season at Caldwell. The Tigers return their top six pitchers from a year ago.

The Tigers are scheduled to begin their 2026 campaign on Monday, March 16, at Crittenden County.
