Crittenden County’s girls have tied the school record for wins in a season, but the Lady Rockets have their sites set on a lot more this week.
Crittenden moved into the 2nd Region semifinals with a 57-20 win over Webster County Monday night in quarterfinal round action at Hopkins County Central High School in Mortons Gap.
The Lady Rockets, now 25-5, have tied three other Crittenden girls’ teams for wins. The 2025-26 Lady Rockets can have the mark all to themselves with a semifinal victory Friday night over either Caldwell County or Christian County.
Crittenden, the 5th DIstrict champion, scored the first eight points of the game and was never really threatened by the 6th District runner-up.
That was part of a 13-1 run to start the game.
Webster (12-19) just couldn’t match the offensive firepower of Crittenden, which buried six 3-pointers while building a 33-12 advantage at halftime.

The Lady Trojans were within 17-7 early in the second quarter, but four 3-pointers — two by Jordyn Hodge and one each from Elliot Evans and Andrea Federico — highlighted a 14-0 burst that put Crittenden in full command.
The Lady Rockets connected on four more shots from behind the arc in the third period while extending the margin to 54-16 — eclipsing the 35-point mercy rule for a running clock in the fourth quarter.
Hodge finished with five 3s and 17 points to lead all scorers. Anna Boone added 12 points. Evans had eight.

Addison Wright led Webster with eight points.
Crittenden has won its last four matchups with the Lady Trojans.
