Madisonville Maroons Dispatch Crittenden in Scrimmage

The Madisonville-North Hopkins Maroons baseball team played their first scrimmage of the season against the Crittenden County Rockets at home on Monday evening. They were able to take advantage of their home field and get the dominant 10-0 win.

Madisonville’s pitching only three hits over the course of the eight innings that the teams ended up playing, and their offense was also able to get it going with 10 hits at the plate.

The most notable pitching performances in the game came from Blake Prow and Brantley Harris, both of which pitched two innings. Harris didn’t allow a hit on his way to a pair of strikeouts, while Prow only allowed one while tallying three punch outs.

As far as the offense goes, Ryder Sandidge and Gauge Clark each tallied a pair of hits. Clark and Harris also each batted in two runs, tallying four of the 10 runs for the Maroons.

Madisonville’s offense also remained consistent, as they scored in all but two of the innings.
