Croney, Campbell Lead Christian County at NASP State Archery Tournament

The NASP State Archery Tournament concluded Saturday in Louisville, with the Christian County Colonels archery team finishing in 109th place.

Christian County was led by sophomore Audrina Croney, who posted the team’s top score with a 274 and 12 tens. Croney finished 257th out of 1,567 high school girls.

Junior Jayleigh Campbell followed closely with a 272, tying Croney with 12 tens while also recording a personal best. Campbell placed 303rd.

Junior Karma Moore added a 267 with seven tens, finishing 507th.

On the boys’ side, senior Sam Norwine paced the Colonels with a 265 and 13 tens, placing 603rd.

Additional scores for Christian County included Azlynn Doan (262), Brody Jackson (260), Caylin Berman (260), Hadassah Elkins (259), and Preston Smale (256), with Smale recording a personal best.

Other Colonels competing at the state tournament were Dakeyiah Catlett (256), Arebella Triplett (252), Tobias Webber (251), Jaxson Hall (250), Logan Bruce (249, personal best), Natalia Filidei (246), Josue Benitez (245), Dakari Harris (244), Dominic Arevalo (238), AliAnna Bailey (237), Gabriella Rose (232), Jeanaria Walker (229), Trinity Robertson (226, personal best), Brayden Deluga (226), and Brooklyn Holt (218).

The state tournament featured thousands of archers from schools across Kentucky competing under the National Archery in the Schools Program format, which includes two rounds of 15 arrows shot from both 10 and 15 meters for a maximum possible score of 300.
