
The Dawson Springs Lady Panthers opened the 2026 track and field season with a ninth-place finish at the Caldwell County 1st Flight Invitational.
Olivia Hines won the 400-meter dash with a time of 1:05.51. Hines also recorded a second-place finish in the 800-meter run in 2:53.08.
Miley Lowe competed in both sprint events, finishing 18th in the 100-meter dash with a time of 15.65 and 21st in the 200-meter dash with a time of 34.54. Lowe also finished 14th in the 400 meters with a time of 1:22.00.
Emilie Turner placed 26th in the 100-meter dash in 17.75 and 28th in the 200 meters with a time of 40.44. Kayla Anderson finished 27th in the 100-meter dash at 17.86 and placed 27th in the 200 meters in 39.74.
Kayla Anderson led the Lady Panthers in the discus with a throw of 47 feet, 4 inches to finish 17th. Emilie Turner placed 20th with a throw of 40-0, while Carson Clark finished 21st at 36-10.
Clark also competed in the shot put, placing 21st with a throw of 14-10.
Hines added another top performance in the field events, finishing sixth in the long jump with a mark of 13-3.
