Lady Rebels Sail Past Hopkinsville For First Win

A big first inning carried the Todd County Central Lady Rebels to their first win of the season Thursday evening. Todd County Central put up 13 runs in the first inning on the way to a 17-0 three-inning win on the road at Hopkinsville.

The Lady Rebels were able to take advantage of 12 walks, 7 hit batters, and 4 Hopkinsville Lady Tiger errors to score their 17 runs.

Naomi Welborn, with a two-run double, and Naomi Gammon, with an RBI triple, had the big hits in the big first inning for the Lady Rebels.

Addison Woodall was 2-2 to lead Todd County Central. Welborn, Gammon, and Ella Hall had two RBIs each for the Lady Rebels.

Seventh grader Leah Tuttle had the only hit of the game for the Lady Tigers with a first-inning double.

In the circle, Addison Woodall went all three innings for the Lady Rebels, giving up one hit, striking out eight and walking one.

Todd County Central (1-1) goes on the road to Burkesville Friday night to take on Cumberland County

Hopkinsville (0-2) hosts Russellville Friday evening.
