Woodall Wows with 2-Hitter as Lady Rebels Take Down Hopkins Central (w/PHOTOS)

Addison Woodall gave the Todd County Central Lady Rebels one of their best pitching performances of the season Friday evening to get them back on the winning track. Coming off a tough loss on Tuesday to district rival Logan County, Woodall pitched six innings of two-hit softball as the Lady Rebels knocked off Hopkins County Central 6-0 in Elkton.

The win is the 7th straight for the Lady Rebels over the Lady Storm.

The game was a scoreless pitchers’ duel between Woodall and Hopkins County Central’s Reese Renth until the bottom of the 5th inning. The Lady Rebels broke through, scoring a pair of runs on passed balls to go up 2-0.

Todd Central then added four more runs in the bottom of the sixth inning to put the game away. Two of the runs scored on a Hopkins County Central error, one on a sac fly, and one on an RBI single from Ella Hall, as the lead grew to 6-0.

Olivia Weikel came in and pitched a hitless top of the seventh inning to close out the win for the Lady Rebels.

Seven different batters came up with a hit for Todd County Central (3-3). Ella Hall was 1-3 with an RBI. Bailey Harper ended up 1-2 with an RBI.

For Hopkins County Central (0-3), Emily Ballard and Layla Sorrells had one hit each.

Addison Woodall went six innings, giving up two hits, striking out five, and walking one.

Reese Renth went five innings for the Lady Storm, giving up two runs on two hits, striking out nine and walking two.
