The Christian County Lady Colonels wrapped up a long day at Lee S. Jones Park in Eddyville with a big win over Jo Byrns. The Lady Colonels put 10 runs on the board in the bottom of the first as they rolled to a 15-4 five-inning win.
Christian County (6-0-1) added four more runs in the second to push the lead out to 14-0 just two innings into the game. The Lady Colonels then added one more in the bottom of the fourth.
BB Rodriguez was in a groove, going 4-4 with four doubles, 6 RBIs, and one run scored. Alyssa Petterson finished 4-4 with two doubles, two RBIs, and two runs scored. Alexis Epps was 2-3 with a triple, an RBI, and three runs scored.
The top three in the Christian County batting order ended up with 10 hits and 9 RBIs.
In the circle, Alyssa Petterson went all five innings, giving up four runs, just one of them earned, as the Lady Colonels were charged with 3 errors. She struck out four and walked one.
Christian County finished the day at the Lady Lyons Invitational with a 2–0-1 record.
