University Heights Academy’s Piper Hancock knocked 20 seconds off her previously-best time to finish 7th at the Region 1 1A cross country meet in Owensboro on Saturday. Hancock came across the line at 22:36.38, good enough to qualify for this weekend’s state meet for the third time.
