Caldwell County’s girls turned back Lyon County 6-3 in tennis action Thursday at the CCHS courts in Princeton.
The teams split six singles matches, but Caldwell swept the three doubles matches to pull out the win.
In singles:
Rachel McClung (CC) defeated Laney Dalby 6-1, 6-4;
Josie Shaffer (CC) def. Anna Crawford 8-4;
Josie Ramenske (LC) def. Avery Ritchey 8-2;
Katy Ladd (LC) def. Emma Peake 8-6;
Caroline Cook (LC) def. Bella Stewart 8-6;
Meleah Greenfield (CC) def. Elizabeth Harper 9-7.
In doubles:
McClung/Shaffer (CC) def. Cook/Crawford 8-3;
Ritchey/Stewart (CC) def. Jesse Hall/Katherine French 8-2;
Ella Johnson/Greenfield (CC) def. Harper/Lanie Patton 8-1.
Caldwell will next host Hopkins County Central on Friday.
Lyon will go to Hopkins County Central on Tuesday.
