While they did not pick up a win over the weekend during the annual wRECk at the Plex, the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons made some strides and very nearly came up with a couple of quality wins at the event. The Lady Falcons finished the weekend dropping a quintet of matches.
Friday, the Lady Falcons fell in straight sets to Madisonville-North Hopkins 25-22 and 25-12. The second match of the evening saw Fort Campbell drop a tough three-set match to Hopkinsville 25-23, 17-25, and 15-13.
The Lady Falcons returned to action Saturday and dropped straight-set decisions to Henderson County (26-24, 25-15), Todd County Central (25-12, 25-9), and Caldwell County (25-8, 25-11).
With the weekend’s results, the Lady Falcons fall to 2-14 on the season. It does not get any easier as Fort Campbell will travel to region favorite University Heights Monday evening.
