After being named the 2nd Region ‘Player of the Year’ last week, University Heights Academy senior Julia Thomas has received another postseason volleyball honor. The Kentucky Volleyball Coaches Association announced its All-State teams Monday.
Thomas was named to the Honorable Mention list for the 2023 season. She was the only 2nd Region player recognized with All-State honors.
The Coaches Association also named its Ms. Kentucky Volleyball, KVCA Defensive Player of the Year, and KVCA Coach of the Year.
Julia Hunt, of Covington Holy Cross, was named 2023 Ms. Kentucky Volleyball. Senior libero, Kristen Simon, of Assumption High School, was named the 2023 KVCA Defensive Player of the Year. Coach Jennifer Morgan, of Paul Laurence Dunbar High School, was selected as the 2023 KVCA Coach of the Year.
