The Lyon County Lyons got things back on track Saturday. After back-to-back losses against Newport in the All A Classic semifinals and at home against 2nd Region rival Henderson County, the Lyons picked up an 86-72 win over Central Hardin in the Wes Strader Schoolboy Shootout at Warren Central High School.

The Lyons came out of the gate fast, taking a 23-10 lead after the opening quarter. The lead would grow to 43-23 lead at the half as Travis Perry hit for 20 first-half points.

The Lyons would then cruise on out to take the 14-point win over the Bruins. It was the second straight game the Lyons played without starter Jack Reddick, who injured his ankle in the 2nd Region All A championship game and then aggravated the injury at the All A Classic state tournament.

Travis Perry finished the day with 35 points to lead the Lyons. Brady Shoulders added 20, while Bray Kirk had 14.

Brett Decker led Central Hardin with 19 points. Cameron Elmore added 17, including five made 3-point shots. Ace Jaggers also had 17 for Central Hardin.

Lyon County improves to 21-3 on the year. The Lyons travel to Trigg County for a 5th District battle Tuesday night.
