
Heritage Christian Academy continues to pile up the runs early in the softball season with the latest collection coming on Thursday during a 15-5 win over University Heights Academy at Linda Garris Field.
HCA’s eyes were their best friend, drawing 22 walks and scoring six runs in both the first and third innings.
Kennedy Hughes and Diem Thompson each had singles for the Lady Warriors with Thompson and Kylynn Tudor credited for two RBI.
Hughes also got the pitching win with two strikeouts and four earned runs in five innings.
Krista Keller got two hits from the leadoff position for UHA and scored twice. Katherine Wood had a single and an RBI.
UHA (1-2) will look for its first district win on Tuesday when they travel across town to play Hopkinsville.
Heritage Christian Academy (3-1) will host Caverna in a doubleheader on Saturday
