Trigg Girls To Play Wait-And-See Game For State Meet Berths

The Trigg County girls finished in sixth place at the Class 2A Region 1 track and field meet on Saturday in Paducah.

While they didn’t have any automatic qualifiers for the state meet, several will play a wait-and-see game to see if they gain at large bids based on their time or distance on Saturday. First and second-place finishers at the region automatically qualify for the state meet on June 1 in Lexington.

Alicia McGee was third in the 200-meter dash (27.66) and was fourth in the 100-meter dash in 13.44 seconds. She also finished in fourth place in the 300-meter hurdles in 52.24 seconds.

Brooke Humphries was fourth in the 100-meter hurdles in 19.06 seconds.

Riley Brame was sixth in the 100-meter hurdles in 19.54 seconds.

Evonna McGee was ninth in the 400-meter dash in 1:14.52.

Gabbi McGee was ninth in the 300-meter hurdles in 1:03.68.

Ella Dollison was 11th in the 800-meter run in 3:05.94.

Addison Humphries was 12th in the 100-meter dash in 15.17 seconds.

The 3200-meter relay team of Ella Dollison, Allayah Hargrove, Gabbi McGee, and Brilee Higgins was sixth in 12:13.19.

FIELD EVENTS

Riley Brame tied for third place in the high jump at 4-10.

Alivia Norwood was fourth in the discus throw at 82-06 and sixth in the shot put at 25-06.50.

Evonna McGee was fourth in the long jump at 13-10.25

Ella Dollison was fifth in the long jump at 13-06.

Allayah Hargrove was eighth in the shot put at 22-06.

Brooke Humphries was ninth in the shot put at 21-10.50.
