The day after he qualified for the boys’ Kentucky 2A Championships state golf tournament, Trigg County’s Haydon Reynolds was back out on the road to Owensboro. Reynolds was taking part in the Daviess County Invitational, in a field loaded with some of the state’s best golfers.
Reynolds had a solid day on the course finishing his round with a 73. After a bit of a bumpy start on the front nine, where he shot a 39, Reynolds caught fire on the backside and finished with a 34 over the final nine holes.
Owensboro’s Nolan Warren took medalist honors with a round of 68. Grant Broughton, of Daviess County, and Landon Hunt, of McCracken County, tied at 69 with Broughton winning 2nd place on the tie-breaker.
