
The Hopkinsville Lady Tigers got the chance to see plenty of action on the volleyball court this weekend. The Lady Tigers were among the teams in Paducah to take part in the annual Quad State tournament.
The Lady Tigers opened play Friday evening against one of the best out of the 4th Region. Hopkinsville dropped a straight-set decision to the Bowling Green Lady Purples 25-8 and 25-9.
Hopkinsville was back on the court Friday evening and matched up against Graves County. The Lady Eagles took this one in two sets 25-15 and 25-7.
Saturday morning action saw the Lady Tigers open the day against a strong Dyer County team. Dyer County took the straight set win 25-4 and 25-6.
Up next was a match against the Ballard Memorial Lady Bombers. Ballard took the win in straight sets 25-12 and 25-23.
The results of pool play put Hopkinsville in the Bronze Bracket. Hopkinsville dropped straight-set decisions to Muhlenberg County 25-12 and 25-16, and a second go around with Ballard Memorial 25-9 and 25-10.
Hopkinsville gets back to action Monday evening when they travel across town to take on University Heights in an 8th District contest.
