The University Heights Academy Lady Blazers dropped their second straight match Thursday evening. This one another tight battle as the Lady Blazers fell 3 to 1 to the Graves County Lady Eagles.
Graves County came out strong and took the opening set 25-17.
The Lady Blazers put up a fight in the second set before falling 25-23 as the Lady Eagles took a two sets to none lead in the match.
UHA had its best set of the night in the third. With the match on the line, the Lady Blazers took the set 25-16 to pull within two sets to one.
The fourth set was much like the second as it came down to the final points. Graves County would get enough done to close out the set with a 25-22 win to take the match three sets to one.
Senior Olivia Oakley had a big night for the Lady Blazers, finishing with six kills. Kiley Lambert added five more.
Gretchen Durham racked up 15 assists for the night.
Taylor Cantrell and Niyati Patel had two blocks each for the Lady Blazers.
The Lady Blazers (6-16) are back in action Monday night in Blazer Gym for Senior Night as they take on the Heritage Christian Academy Warriors.
