The first preseason outing for Caldwell County’s guys was a successful one — a 78-70 victory over Ballard Memorial on Saturday at the CAB gym in Princeton.
Jaydarius Wilson scored 26 points and Cade Rowland had 25 for the Tigers, who hit 12 3-pointers in the scrimmage.
Rowland accounted for eight of those while Wilson stepped outside and dropped a pair of 3-pointers.
Ari Wells had 16 points while Collin Whittington hit two 3s and finished with eight points.
The Tigers outscored the Bombers 22-13 in the first quarter and led 34-28 at halftime.
Caldwell led 52-48 after three periods.
The Tigers will play their final preseason contest on Friday at Todd County Central.
Caldwell begins the regular season on Monday, Dec. 2, at Murray.
