Hopkins County Central capitalized on Trigg County’s mistakes and rolled to a 60-15 win over the Lady Wildcats on Friday in Mortons Gap.
The Lady Storm scored 26 points off 22 first-half Trigg turnovers in building a 34-6 halftime lead.
Hopkins Central struggled to shoot early, but found their way in the second quarter, knocking down 7-15 from the field and outscoring the Lady Wildcats 18-4.
Trigg County managed just 6 of 25 shooting from the field and didn’t get to the free throw line until two minutes were left in the game.
Meanwhile, Hopkins Central scored 39 points off 35 Trigg turnovers and shot 47% from the field.
Tyah White and Kenzleigh Harrison led the Lady Storm with 16 points apiece. Harrison added six rebounds and five steals.
Calajia Mason also had eight points for the Lady Storm.
Trigg County got five points and four rebounds from Reese Bush and Calli Jones scored four points.
Hopkins Central has won four straight games over the Lady Wildcats and leads the all-time series 11-3.
