
KaMyiah “Tink” Clark scored 24 of her game-high 29 points in the second half as Caldwell County’s girls rallied past Muhlenberg County 55-50 Saturday afternoon in the Beaver Dam Tourism Classic at Ohio County.
The Lady Mustangs rode to halftime with a 29-18 advantage before Clark took over after the break.
Clark had 10 points in the third period as the Lady Tigers outscored Muhlenberg 19-8 in that frame to knot things at 37-37.
The Caldwell sophomore then put up 14 of her team’s 18 points in the final frame — including an 8-for-8 performance at the free throw line in last 8 minutes — as the Lady Tiger pulled out the win.
As a team, Caldwell was 17 of 21 at the charity stripe in the contest. Muhlenberg was 10 of 14 at the free throw line.
The Lady Tigers also got 11 points apiece from Morgan Aikins and A.J. McCoy while picking up thier first win ever over the Lady Mustangs in four tries.
Izzy Wilkins had 15 points to lead Muhlenberg (1-4) while Taylor Wilkins added 14 points.
Caldwell’s girls will be in action again on Thursday when they travel to Webster County.
