Lady Falcons Overwhelm HCA for First District Win

With A’mari Grimsley and Rosella Rajj leading the way on Friday, the Fort Campbell Lady Falcons won for the second time in three outings and improved to 1-0 in 8th-District play with a 63-7 victory over visiting Heritage Christian Academy.

The Lady Falcons put the game away in the opening frame behind 14 points from Rajj.  Grimsley chipped in seven to help Fort Campbell build a 19-point advantage.

Grimsley put up 10 more points in the second and Kyra Benson scored seven of her 10 points in the frame to push the lead out to 41-5 at halftime.

Grimsley led all scorers with 25 points and added seven rebounds as Fort Campbell improved to 3-6 ahead of a trip to Hopkins County Central on Tuesday.  Rajj finished with 22 points and eight boards.

Heritage Christian slipped to 0-8, 0-2 in district play, with a visit from Dawson Springs coming up on Saturday.

    1. Actually, the coach for Ft. Campbell should be commended for the way she has led her team to victory! She has taught her team to push through, win or lose! They have taken some big hits and last night they won! Congratulations Lady Falcons for getting the job done!
